Notary services are typically available on Monday and Tuesday, 10 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday 10 AM to 1:30 PM, Thursday noon to 7:30 PM, Friday 2 PM to 5:30 PM and occasional Saturdays (call first). Please bring your own witnesses with you; library staff and patrons cannot act as witnesses for notarizations. Personal IDs are required for all participants. Notarizations will only be done for Brookline Public Library cardholders and Brookline residents, and are free. For more information, read the Brookline Public Library Notary policy here.
For additional local notary services, please visit the Brookline Town Hall. They have two notaries on staff: Sharon Sturtevant (603) 673-8855 x 214, on the main floor, and Patricia Howard-Barnett (603) 673-8855 x 218, on the lower level. They are both available Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 2 PM. Patricia Howard-Barnett is also available from 5 PM to 8 PM on Wednesdays. There is an $8.00 fee per notarization, cash or check only.
